During an interview with Vulture, Samuel L. Jackson revealed that he is returning as Nick Fury on the season finale of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., scheduled to air Tuesday, May 13 at 8 PM ET on ABC.

"I did! Last week! I just shot the end-of-the-season show."

The actor previously popped up at the end of the show's second episode, "0-8-4", although he wouldn't give any specific details about his appearance in the season finale.

"You're trying to get me fired and killed! I don't talk about Marvel's business. None of us do."

This week's episode, "Turn, Turn Turn", features a crossover with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but it seems the events portrayed in the movie will have a residual effect on the show throughout its final episodes. The actor did tease that the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where S.H.I.E.L.D. is essentially dismantled and Nick Fury goes into hiding, ties into the last few episodes of this ABC series' inaugural season.

"It ties into the TV show. They wanted to tie that up."

He also spoke about how he is always on board to come back as Nick Fury, whenever Kevin Feige calls upon him.

"If they ask Kevin Feige and Kevin says, 'We'd like for you to do it,' I do."
