Russell Crowe Interested in a 'Man of Steel' Prequel

The actor who portrays Jor-El reveals he would give the tights another go if Legendary Pictures was interested.

Man of Steel star Russell Crowe took to his Twitter account this weekend to address the possibility of a Superman prequel. Take a look at what he had to say, then read on for more information.

"A lot of you are asking about a KRYPTON prequel, if that's something you feel strongly about let @Legendary pictures know your thoughts. Just getting sick of reading the same question mate, however, if it came up, i'd give the tights another go."

...3,2,1 ignition. Or something like that. No, I'm not talking about SuperMAN's taking off into the sky, like a missile. With a chem trail. Sheesh! I'm talking about this idea fans are pushing at Russell Crowe. And whining about afterward? Honestly, It's hard to argue with it. My fave part of Superman was Krypton. On the other hand, If they aren't going to get Superman (and other super heros) right, then let's just move onto something else. And bring Russell Crowe along for the ride.

@mccoy2k Yeah I agree w/ya. No way they make a prequel. We'll get more flashbacks from time to time.

This would be a nice film to introduce Brainiac, plus see how Krypton interacted with other planets. Perhaps even an Apokolips/New Genesis scenario.

I think it would be a great idea for a Man of Steel Prequel, Staring Russell Crowe, Micheal Shannon, and whomever else is going to play Super Girl. That Prequel comic that DC published, would be a great finishing off point, for a movie. They could also tie in Krypton Threats, such as Braniac or other Villains that might make an appearance later. It could actually help with the Justice League movie if they did it right. So yeah, I think its a great idea.

why would he return, he died. i dont want this to be like halloween 2 with micheal's mother, poping out every 5mins. i understand this could be used as flashbacks, even with his wife. but as long as they dont take up to much time or derail the main story, its all good. i wont care if they return but i wont miss them if they dont.
