Actress Rose Byrne has signed on to make two movies back-to-back this spring and summer, joining the casts of Townies and This Is Where I Leave You.

Universal Pictures is behind Townies, which has Seth Rogen and Zac Efron attached to star. Seth Rogen plays a man who lives close to a fraternity house, and reaches a breaking point with their wild antics. Rose Byrne is playing the man's wife, the sensible adult in the relationship, while Zac Efron portrays the leader of the raucous fraternity.

Nick Stoller is directing from a screenplay by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien. Production is scheduled to begin sometime this spring.

The Warner Bros. ensemble This Is Where I Leave You is based on the novel by Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote the screenplay adaptation. Jason Bateman stars as one of four siblings who reunite when their father passes away. They learn that dad had one final wish, for the four of them to spend one whole week in their childhood home together, which they haven't done in 10 years. Rose Byrne will play an old crush of Jason Bateman's character. Tina Fey, Kathryn Hahn, Jane Fonda, and Corey Stoll also star.

Shawn Levy is directing the adaptation, with production scheduled to begin this June in New York City.
