"This one brought me back to liking the Saw franchise again"

Saw III, was the movie that took me out of the Saw franchise, but maybe it was because of hostel and other torture movies, some of which I didn’t like. Saw IV brought me back, this one went back to its roots, the twist were good, the partial prequel was very good, and I couldn’t really guess the twist in this one, but who really can. This one is just the first one, revamping the origanl without having to redo it, a new jigsaw was, introduced, great effects, and a very well developed story and acting, they could continue as they are trying to plan to (wanting a new saw every Halloween), with the story and go for 3 more Saws, 4.5 out of 5 (9.5/10) , buy it or rent, make sure you get the unrated version (the only version of movies to watch).

When I first saw preview the first one, I was excited, I saw the girl in the pig costume, and I thought it was a creature, and Creature Features are my bees nees, so I was ready, but I wasn't ready, that movie had me going in which direction, that when Jigsaw got up I said out loud, Oh Shit, thinking he was a zombie or creature, plus the guy from Princess, Prince's Bride, I forgot but it was a fun ride watching Saw 1, then and until part 4 part 2 was my favorite.

I liked the aspect of Part 3 being about "How hard is it for you to forgive?" That had good potential. But it seemed too long of a movie. And the 2nd plot line with the wife trying to keep Jigsaw alive wasn't remotely creepy or scary, just time consuming. Though it worked out for the ending they chose. But since it didn't go that well for me upon my first viewing of it, I'd still give it a lower rating than the other 2. Yet strangely enough, despite that I said that the subplot was time consuming, the film did seem to go by extremely fast.

#1 was a real mind puzzler of a movie for me with a real shocking ending. I 1st heard of it from a friend in a video production class back in my sophomore year when the film was released, and having only seen the TV Spots, everything this guy said made my eyes grow wider with amazement at how great of a concept that movie was embracing.

#2 was a real popcorn flick for me. In that I found it not scary, but suspenseful, and an overall fun film to watch. Don't worry, I'm not that sick of a person. lol!

But the TV Spots of #4 made it look like the film makers were bringing back the horror/puzzling aspect of it, which I liked, but obviously never got around to seeing.

One day I'll redo all old reviews to my new format. Part 3 kind of lack luster, for me, its still good, and this one is my favorite, especially with the transtions between shots, two scenes crossed into one, like its one very good editing.

That's interesting that you say it's a comeback from "Saw III." I haven't heard anyone say that b4. Your rating us decent too. And while scrolling down the pages to find this review, I've come to realize that I agree with lots of your ratings. But I'll see this sometime soon and pass judgment on the new Jigsaw. lol!
