Tucker and Chan are back and just as funny as they've ever been.

The first pairing was pure magic. We'd never seen it before. As a new kind of buddy-cop flick, it was simply original. #2, though, was delivered a bit like someone trying to live up to the original and falling just a little flat. Sure, it was funny...entertaining...and worth the price of admission, but it just didn't capture that same spark.

In this latest update to the franchise, the magic is back. It's not like that first time (when you'd not really seen anything quite like it), but it is definitely funnier and paced better than part 2.

Chasing down the elusive Triad proves a formidable challenge for the "brothers", but with their comic timing and some welcome new martial arts skills flowing from Tucker's previously inept limbs, the duo drop some decidedly American (Chinese) whoop-ass on the scene in Paris.

There are some corny bits (some of the musical numbers, and sentimental scenes, etc.), but overall, this is a welcome return to the original formula for the pair!

Well done!
