When i planned to watch this movie i didn't expect kyle chandler to be there. that was a bonus for me, to tell you honestly. chandler has been my crush eversince the "early edition" days(this is totally irrelevant).
Anyway, i've noticed some points that have been consistent from the start till the end:
A. father-and-son (elder-and-the-young)
The film has depicted the relationship of the present and the future by, i guess, emphasizing that for every dying father there is always a weeping son. it is worth noting that the fight for what the fathers believe will continue as long as the sons survive.
B. parallelism
I was amazed by the manner of presenting the similarity between the two different worlds (West and the Mid East) in terms of their crave for revenge. specifically the phrase, "we will kill them all". this simply shows that we are not too different at all.
C. brutality
For me, the most disturbing scene in the movie is when more people were killed when a Saudi police officer (or one who just dressed up as such) blew himself after telling the Americans to follow him. i must say that putting this scene in the early part of the movie was a great idea.
The movie was more than i expected it to be. it was able to shake my flesh with its terrifying action scenes, and touched my heart with its brillant reflection of how pathetic reality could be.
