"Its a good story, but I think it would have been better if he ended up with the girl at the end :)"

I'm a sucker for action films as well as sappy chick flicks. And this was a mix of both. I think it would have been better if the main character would have ended up with the girl at the end, and not have blown up, but then again, others may disagree with me. I kept hoping for a way out. I hated the part where he had to kill his dog, not just because I'm an animal rights activist, but because it was the only thing besides his house that he had left of his family. I kept hoping that he would save his dog after she was attacked by infected dogs. I wanted it to be like the ending of K-9 with Jim Belushi, where they drive to vegas and he gets the girl, and its all happily ever after. But it wasn't like that. I wanted Will Smiths character to live. Even if he didn't get with the girl, he did save a few hundred people with his blood in a safe zone where the infection didn't exist. I guess he had gotten to the point where he was stripped of everything that meant something to him and he tried to think of a way to save humanity from the virus that the government messed up on, it was supposed to be a cure for cancer, and it turned out to make people and animals loose their hair and be extremely sensitive to light, thus making it only possible for them to go out at night. I think the ending could have been alot better. But it was better than the original. And I will buy it when it goes onto dvd. I recommend this movie to any Will Smith fans, and anyone who can handle some violence. It wasn't as violent as 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later. It was a cross between Resident Evil 2 and Castaway. What I liked the most was the amazing graphics. I give it an A+ on that.
