"Different from the book, but was still worth watching."

Ok first of all the book was great in my opinion. I don't blame them for making the movie a bit off from the book cause theres just way to many things to cover. But the film was still able to keep me entertained for a while even thought out the whole self mutilation scenes of the crazy monk or the 2hrs and 3o mins of the film, and even the crappy performance by Tom Hanks who still to me took on a role way to big for him. Those really are the only things that are wrong with this film. The acting was really the only bad thing but most of the cats was able to cover for Hanks terrible acting and cheesy lines throught the whole film. If you want to see this movie just be warned of the HANKS.

I saw the movie too long after I read the book to remember much of what happened in the book, I'll have to read the book again sometime.

I really enjoyed this movie, though you are right it did defer from the book a bit!
