"Will this scare your chick, yes! but then she may cry..."

I didn't know alot about this movie till i saw it, yet after the 130 odd minutes i was over-whelmed with some fear and alot of sympathy.
The Orphanage is about a young girl who grew up in one and when older goes back to re-open it's old doors as a place for disabled childern.
The movie turns quite swiftly and the first 15 to 20 minutes is much the norm. but the women's young son has (what she thinks) invented some imaginary friends. from this moment it all gets very weird, the boy playing games on his parents and blaming his "friends", dark spooky hallways and loud noises at night, everything you expect from your typical horror movie.
But this isn't your typical horror movie, oh no, the last 40 minutes of the Orphanage has more twists and turns than your over worked slinky!!
At one point it changes direction from horror to a love story of the saddest kind, not being gay when i say this, but i almost choked up a little,........ ALMOST!
Suppose i may tell you this a spanish movie, so yes, the dreaded subtitles!! .....badtimes
But this movie has been produced by Guilllermo del Toro!...... goodtimes
If you don't mind subtitles, trust me, you won't be dissapointed!
