"Not that bad a film"
Having never seen the original, I had no standout expectations for this film. I decided one weekend to watch it with my friends. Despite a few flaws, this film wasn't that bad.
Keanu Reeves, who cannot act with a personality in my opinion, was perfect for the role of Klaatu, and Jennifer Connelly was decent. The story itself was enjoyable, as you could actually feel the emotions the characters had. John Cleese, who is one of the best actors ever, did well in his little screen time. The film is enjoyable, and the ending was fairly predictable. If you have a spare weekend, or just wanna enjoy a decent film, check this out, you might be shocked.
