This movie was unexpected for me.I realized that director Richard Kelly was deffinitely original but his first project,Donnie Darko really was'nt my thing.This movie once again is completely original,which is always refreshing but in this instance i very much enjoyed the film.I needed to see this movie originally for the cast.I have come to love Dwayne Johnson,Seann William scott and yes even Justin Timberlake.The story is about world war 3 causing the world's fuel and oil sources to be completely destroyed.After which a scientist creates a machine that generates the power of the ocean tides to control machinery by remote.And the consequences that ultimately lead to the worlds end.The story kept me extremely interested but I must admit there is a frame of mind you must be in to enjoy this.I don't quite understand how this movie failed so immediately and Donnie Darko became a cult classic.The performances are all very good,each actor playing a character unlike any they have ever portrayed.Dwayne Johnson does a good job as Boxer Santaros an actor who's screenplay for a movie begins to come to life in shocking ways.Seann William Scott as twin brothers on opposite sides of the law,Sarah Michelle Gellar as a ditsy porn star and Justin Timberlake as a world war 3 veteran turned drug dealer with a mysterious past.I personally think Richard Kelly hit the mark with this movie and gave us a movie the likes of which we have never seen.With a great cast and a new and exciting idea this movie is alot of fun.
