"Great Concept, Great Monster... Horrible Cinematography That Made Me Sick."

I went to see the movie with my boyfriend (who I had to drag in to see), and I was so disappointed at what I saw.

The movie's concept is GREAT. Get a monster movie from the angle of the evacuee. Makes sense.

However, it was the LONG intro, the idiot who was holding the camera, and the cheezie writing that made my stomach churn.

People were leaving half-way through the movie... No joke! I would have too if I wasn't hoping the movie would get better.

About half-way through, the jumpy camera was making me feel sick, the idiot holding it wouldn't keep it on the monster instead of his friends (who were only climbing across a roof when the monster was charging near them), and the acting was what you would expect with no creativity.

"We can't go back out!"

"But she could be alive!"

"She's probably dead!"

"I gotta try!"

In reality, NO ONE would go back into a city that was being destroyed by a 10 000 foot monster for a girl that is most likely dead, and if she isn't, you'll die getting her out.

And of course the ending is SO horrible!

"I love you!"

"I love you!"

*monster crushes bridge they are hiding in*

*camera dies*

Basically, the only good part of the movie is when the idiot that holds the camera for most of the time is eating by the monster after he holds the camera up at it for a good 15 seconds.

In short, only see it if you download it for free. I would not contribute ANY money to this movie, and I don't have high hopes for J.J Abram's take on "Star Trek" coming out later this year.
