Is the movie called The Eye or The Eyes? I think that it's The Eye but The Eyes sounds better, well not better but more accurate because it's both of her eyes that are haunted. Not just one of them. I don't know. The movie was ok though. It wasn't as bad as I expected going in. It was for sure way better then One Missed Call. That's another horror remake that I recently saw. It kind of sucked.

The Eye stars Jessica Alba who is pretty but totally boring. She's cute but I don't think that she has that movie star quality that draws me to see a movie just cause she's in it. I don't know who does have that nowadays. For me anyway. I'll have to think on that. So Alba plays this blind chick who is next in line for a cornea transplant. She's been blind since she was five years old. Fire cracker accident. She gets the eyes and soon after the surgery she can totally see. That's cool man. Here's the rub though. The eyes are haunted. She sees ghosts and stuff all over the place.

Eventually she learns that she isn't seeing ghosts. What she's seeing is the creatures that come and take the spirits of people away after they leave their bodies. She's a Ghost Whisperer like Love Hewitt on CBS. That would suck so bad. What a curse. You might as well be crazy because despite the fact that what you are seeing is true the fact that no one can see them pretty much makes them fake, you know? It doesn't matter. For the middle portion of the movie everyone DOES think that she's bananas so she has to convince them otherwise. Them are her sister played by Parker Posey and some dude as her hipster eye doctor guy. He keeps the top button of his shirt, under his tie undone. Cause he's like hip and loosey-goosey.

She eventually convinces the doctor guy. Prolly cause she's super cute. I bet that it wouldn't take much to convince someone of whatever it was that she wanted to convince them of. She could say she could fly and I'm gonna at least pretend to believe her if I think that there is a chance that we might eventually make out.

Turns out that her eyes come from a Mexican witch. A BRUJA. Scary. Thing is that she's not a witch. She's just confused about her powerful eyes. Like she doesn't know how to interpret the creepy stuff that her haunted eyes see. The people in her village think that she is all evil and whatever. I wouldn't go as far as to call her evil but I think that I'd steer clear of her and her freaked out eyes.

Blah-blah-blah and stuff happens and then it ends. The Eye was ok. I don't know dude? Jessica Alba is kind of boring so that makes any movie that she stars in kind of boring. I guess. If you must see it I'd wait till it was on cable or even broadcast TV. it ain't that great.
