Steven Karp is like almost every college freshman - new, nerdy, and lost. On his first day of college, he meets his roommates who will then become the focus of the series. He lives with three other guys in his dorm room and across the hall from two girls, one who will later become his gilrfriend. The show was created by Judd Apatow, who also created another failed television series Freaks and Geeks. It starred Jay Baruchel, Charlie Hunnum, and Seth Rogan, who wrote some of the episodes as well.
Follow Steven and friends and get to know what it really is to be a college freshman.

There are four discs, three of them have episodes, the last having all bonus material. Each of the first three discs include seven episodes, one of them being a never before seen episode.
Each episode has cast and crew commentary with Judd, Jay, Seth, and guest directors like Jon Favreau. You get to hear all about what they thought about the show and what they liked most.
I personally recommend listening to the first episode's commentary by Judd and director Jake Kasdan because from start to finish they both talk about how the show got on the air, where Judd came up with the concept, how he felt about being cancelled, and about all his favorite things about the series. You find out who Judd's roommate once was - will I spill the beans? Nope, you've got to listen to it yourself! Also on the first three discs, unaired and deleted scenes are there as well.
The fourth disc has audition tapes, rehearsal footage, a question and answer session with the cast and crew (just before the show was cancelled) at the Museum of Television and Radio, a full concert by star Loudon Wainwright, and you get to see and read the full script of the Lloyd's Rampage episode.
There is also a full color page booklet that lists all the extras, cast, crew, guest stars, and who does commentary for each episode. There's also personal messages from Jay and Judd and little special moments from the cast and crew for each shows description.

The Look
The DVD set is a 4-disc fold up with pictures from the cast and crew behind each disc. I'm not really sure what the specifics of the discs are, but the episodes are full screen. Think about it, tv shows aren't shot in widescreen. But the DVD looks awesome and is clearly marked which disc is which in simple yellow, blue and green colors.

The Sound
Each episode is in Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. I was very impressed with the commentary sound; you could clearly hear everyone and not be thrown off by the episode's dialogue. There are peaks of the episode you can hear if the people are talking about them. During the episodes without commentary sounds great as well.

The Packaging
When folded up, you see candid and professional shots of the cast. On the back cover, theres a mini description of the show and a full list of the special and extra features included.

Unfortunately, Undeclared never really got the viewership it deserved. The series was one of the smartest and funniest shows that has been on tv and it sucks it was taken off way too soon. Now you and I get to enjoy the series that really makes fun of college life.
I urge you to pick this up because you really get to see what good tv looks like. If you never saw the series when it was on tv, you'll get to enjoy it. If you did see it, you'll look back at all the best episodes and funny lines and cute chicks!
Buy this DVD! You will not regret it!
