"A throat-slitting, blood-drenching, musical thrill ride."

This movie is simply, a masterpiece. Hands down Tim Burtons best film since Ed Wood (coincidentally, another film with Johnny Depp). The First time I heard about this story, I thought it was a comedy (a man butchers people and turns them into pies and people eat them). But as my sister informed me, its not funny. Sure this is an almost operatic musical but Depp does fine and makes his growly voice work for him. Helena Bonham Carter does well to and i don't think she did as poorly as everyone else says. But in the end, my favorite character is Pinelli played by Borat which is odd, considering I hate Borat. Great film!
