"Holy Crap! (spoiler alert) Steve the Pirate from Dodgeball is Alpha!!!!!!!!!!"
This has got to be the best episode yet of Dollhouse, although the one where Echo is the bodyguard for the pop diva is enjoyable. So, in this one, Echo's day seems to play out like Briar Rose in Sleeping Beauty, hence the title. Paul Ballard (the agent hunting the Dollhouse) finally finds it, after forcing the environmental consultant of the house (Alan Tudyk) to come with him. Once there, Tudyk's character hacks the computers, allowing Paul access to the beds of the dolls. He finds Echo, but gets into a fight with the head of security, and accidentally injuring one of the dolls. The injured doll is taken in by the doctor, when the evil haywire serial killer doll by the name of Alpha, comes in and cuts up the face of the injured doll. Then it is revealed that Tudyk's character is Alpha. He finds Echo, and gives her an imprint, then she starts making out with him and saying he is her prince (Sleeping Beauty tie in). They then leave on the elevator, and the show ends. It was totally crazy, and next week's season finale looks equally crazy. Tudyk, who played Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball, voiced Sonny in iRobot, was on several Joss Whedon TV shows, and was in the hilarious 2007 comedy Death at a Funeral, scares the crap out of you as Alpha. Great everything on this. A really good episode of the underrated series. Overall, my grade is an A. More than worth your time if you've been following the show.
