"Jodie Foster does not guarantee a blockbuster."

While the idea of taking down every thug that makes going out at night a dangerous prospect is appealing, The Brave One fall short. The movie uses too much voice-over by Jodie Foster's character to show the transition from victim to vigilante. It is as if the writer though the audience was too stupid to understand this transition and decided to spell it out for us. It is a little insulting.

The Brave one appears destined for greatness, but some small problems make it hard to sit though. You can probably find a better way to spend your evening than watching The Brave One.
