"Way better than 10,000 B.C."
After Roland Emmerich's last film, I was sensing that he wouldn't be able to make any other good films. I went into 2012 on saturday, November 14th with mixed feelings of how the movie will go. Let me tell you now; it exceeded my expectations by a lot.
Let me start off with the visuals. Never before have I seen such effects since Independence Day. The visuals were out there, making it quite an experience. I thought that the effects would ruin the movie for me, but it actually made it really good.
The plot was decent (meaning I've seen worse plots (i.e. Monopoly)). I didn't really expect much of a plot out of a Roland movie, but I understood the plot, and I enjoyed it to a certain extent.
The acting was better than I thought. It became really powerful throughout the movie, making this movie really enjoyable. Everyone in that movie did a really good job, and gave it their best. I have to give my respect to each actor there.
Overall, this movie turned out to be really enjoyable for me (of course I do not believe anything like this will happen when 2012 really comes around). I wouldn't say this is his best movie, but it was really enjoyable. I recommend it highly.
