"21 is a good, glamorous movie that is hit by the Hollywood curse!"
21 is a good glamorous movie that is both entertaining and engrossing throughout.
21 is supposedly based on a true story, but how much of it is actually true remains uncertain. What is certain is that 21 is a good movie that really makes you want to go to Vegas and I think the director has done a good job here to show Vegas as a brilliant place to be.
The basic set-up of the movie is totally hollywood, in that ordinary boy has a crush on a girl, boy sets off on a life discovery quest, boy and girl fall in love, boy runs into problems, boy solves problems, boy and girl live happily ever after. The end.
This isn't a completely bad thing as the premise is still entertaining, although I still to this day don't understand the whole counting of cards thing. Maybe someone should explain it to me...
Anyway, 21 is a good movie, despite the typical hollywood set-up and the slightly confusing card counting, and is definitely worth a watch with friends.

I think you're assuming that I didn't understand the movie. I completely understood the plot of the movie, I said it was the card counting that I didn't understand and like you clearly stated in your comment, card counting isn't easy and for the average person, the math involved would blow you away. Your right.
As for the "Oceans 11" trickery, I didn't think it was that big of a deal to mention as I've seen this kind of technique plenty of times before and wasn't so special to me. That's just my personal opinion.
Anyway, thanks for your comment.
Don't be mistaken, these students were from MIT, the most elite of schools in the U.S.A., Card counting is not easy and for the average person, the math involved would blow you away.
