Basically, this was an entertaining movie. The story was just par and the overall presentation is what you'd expect of Michael Bay. In the end, while I found it worth watching and would check out a sequel, I'm not falling all over myself to get to the box office for another.

The writing was pretty solid, with lots of good humor and snappy dialoge that kept the thing from getting heavy-handed. Clearly, the script doesn't take itself too seriously.

As you'd expect of a film called "transformers", this thing had pretty awesome visual effects that really made you believe that these cars, trucks and such could actually 'transform' into these monsterous robots.

Of course, a huge dose of suspension of disbelief goes a long way.
