"Better Than I expected, but not as good as it could have been."
I'll keep this short and sweet like I always do.
Just got back from an advance screen of "Terminator Salvation" and I gotta say it was definitely better than I thought it was gonna be. Some really cool action sequences, a pretty good cast, and excellent special effects.
McG's direction wasn't anything special. By the way, if you want to be taken serious as a film director, don't make people call you by a nickname that sounds like a burger. And the story was kinda mediocre, although it is nice to have a plot that's not recycled, because let's face it, the first 3 movies all had basically the exact same plot.
I was also very disappointed that this movie is rated PG-13 and that they didn't have the balls to go for a hard R just because they wanted to put more butts in the seats. The great thing about the Terminator movies is the awesome gruesome kills and "Salvation" didn't have any. But despite that, it is still a pretty cool movie.
Anyway, overall it was a very entertaining summer flick, but it definitely ain't no "Star Trek".

Look, its a fairly decent movie, but no where close to Star Trek.... and I am NOT a Trekkie. Sorry but its the truth.
I also think that Star Trek might come out on top of the summer blocbuster's, or at least will take a while for a movie to top it.
This looks just good, but not amazing.
Im still gonna see it tomorrow but Im not too excited about it.
