"Great film"

This is a great film to watch. This film has a good plot line ,great acting ,great actors ,and a premise that has been done over and over by so my different film. They did a great job on this one. Terrence Howard is amazing in this film. I love his movies that are dramas not too much with the action ,but Iron Man was good just that he acts so much better in dramas. The Brave one was an action film but it had drama in it.

We have seen this before Racism! This takes place back in the 1970s so there are many white racist that you see in this movie.

Plot -

There is a man that is determined to start a swim team and help out the neighborhood ,but there is Drugs and crime lords making the kids do "jobs" for them. Jim Ellis doesn't like it so he is standing for good. They make an official swim team and the kids don't want to wear speedo's and they wear cut off shorts it is pretty funny to see. The moment they walk in the the swimming pool area for the recreation all of the white people just stare at them and say all sorts of things such as "I didn't know they could swim!" Its mean but its kind of true. Inner city kids don't have swimming pools so they don't learn how to swim when they are little. They always talented Tom Arnold is the coach for the rich white kids and is a Dick to them and racist to them but in the end is alright. The late Bernie Mac played a janitor that helped Jim Ellis ( Terrence Howard ). Sue Davis( Kimberly Elis ) plays the older sister of one of the kids that are on the team she is planning on demolishing the recreation center of Philadelphia. Her brother is troubled along with the rest but they get sorted out in the end. They start to improve the neighborhood ,but Franklin the crime lord in the area gets revenge from Jim taking the teens away from him by trashing the recreation center but Jim finds them while they are trashing it and beats them up and throws them in the pool and they cant swim but the teens stop Jim from killing him and say he learned his lesson. I thought he was going to get killed after that ,but no he didn't. They go all the way to the championship and win they beat the rich white kids and they call it fair.

Acting -

Terrence Howard ,Bernie Mac ,Kimberly Elis ,Tom Arnold ,Brandon Fobbs ,Alphonso McAuley ,Regine Nehy ,Nate Parker ,Kevin Philips ,Scott Eastwood ,Even Ross ,Gary Anthony Sturgis ,

The acting is great its an independent film so your not going to get to many big time actors. All great work from them all as they put this film into order.

Visuals -

There are a few shots that are really cool when they are swimming buyt the rest is pretty much normal. I just love seeing Terrence on screen.

Directing -

Its good directing nothing amazing about it but it was done well.

Its a good film overall this is a rent ,but if you really like it buy it. this is an 8/10 for me.
