"At last a movie that can actually be scarey!"

I had grave reservations about "Rogue" its release was put back several months and in some countries it will be heading straight to DVD. I now find myself asking why?

A true tour de force "Rogue" is more than a giant crocodile movie, if only just. Showing Australia’s beautiful wetlands in all their awe and spectacle. It shows how wonderful these environments are to look at, just don't get to close! Michael Vartan and Rahda Mitchell pull fantastic leads as the unwilling hero’s trapped with a group of tourists in a tidal river in the Northern Territory after responding to a emergency signal flare on a tourist boating trip. From there they discover deep down river they've stumbled into a giant crocodiles territory, and with night fast approaching and no way out, time is something they don't have.

"Rogues" strength lays in what it doesn't show you. What's out there in the dark, under the water that you can't see. A classic film that uses light and shadow to create tension and fear. Not blood and guts.

A film well worth watching if you like an above average thriller!
