"Saw in IMAX and I stood still..."

The Day the Earth Stood Still" is 20th Century Fox's contemporary reinvention of its 1951 classic.

Keanu Reeves,one of my favorite actors,portrays Klaatu, an alien whose arrival on our planet triggers a global upheaval. As usual our government and scientists race to unravel the mystery behind the visitor's and at the same time send our military forces out to defend this planet.

I went to see this movie in IMAX which made all the special effects even better, especially the aliens defender Robot.

And what movie could not be complete without a beautiful woman, Jennifer Connelly, plays one of those key scientist who get caught up in his mission - and come to understand the ramifications of his being a self-described "friend to the Earth."

The story line did keep to the original and the only slow moments were overcome by the movies special effects.
