"Acting at its Best"
Robert Deniro has always been one of my favorite actors, now pair him with the all talented Edward Norton and what do you get? One bad ass movie.
The movie revolves around a professional criminal Nick Wells(Robert Deniro) who is trying to get out of the game and retire with his girlfriend Diane after almost being caught during his last heist. In his old age it is becoming aparent that he should not be putting himself at such high a risk anymore.
Nick's financial man on the inside, Max, suckers Nick into one more job; a job that would financially secure the two of them for the rest of their lives. The target; a priceless french sceptre that has been smuggled into the country and is being kept in the Montreal Customs House under heavy surveillance.
Against his better judgement, Nick agrees to take the job and must partner his skills with the young and talented Jackie Teller(Norton); a thief that Max had working on the inside of the Customs House.
During the job, everything goes awry and the two find themselves struggling to escape without being caught, and with the prize.

During the movie, Norton has a double identity which he pulls off to perfection. He is a thief during the day but at night must reprise his role as the "special" night janitor of the Customs House. It is always impressive to see a talented actor perform such difficult roles and make it believable.
Deniro is his usual bad ass self that is quite reserved about his emotions. Him and Norton had an excellent on screen relationship with Deniro portraying the older, more knowledgable thief and Norton the young, more aggresive thief.
I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys great acting and an upbeat action story.
