"A GREAT ADVENTURE STORY"

What can you say about Hugh Jackman? He is one of those actors that can take on a role and carry the film to where it needs to be carried.

Let's start off with the story. In my opinion just because the film is 2 hrs and about 30 mins.. doesnt make it a boring film.. in this case it makes it a great film. Yes, for some it could get a little tiring and boring, but if you love film you shouldnt complain about the time. Time is overrated.

Jackman and Kidman make a great on screen duet. You believe in what they say and you have feel for the characters as the film continues. This movie takes you through a journey where they not only explore the beauty of Australia, but also the actions of the characters. The narrating is absolutely perfect. That little kid is pretty good =P ... David Wenham is great in this one as the villain. I noticed he actually was partner with Jackman in Van Helsing too :) anyhow.. yes Wenham is pretty good at playing a bad guy since most of see him as Faramir from The Lord of the Rings :D

I think director Baz Luhrmann did a tremendous job especially in the opening scenes with the horse in the water. Very slow mo it really captured the beauty in the shot. Visually its great, although there are some moments when it looks a bit cartoonish. But overall most the shots like the Jap planes those are really well done.

One these days hopefully I'll find myself in the outback and go on a walkabout myself ;) but for now this film will have to do.
