BURN AFTER READING (2008)

"The humor in this movie is so suddle and natural you may end up laughing at lines that arent jokes."

Everything youve heard about this movie is true. Brad Pitt is the funniest character and doesnt get enough screen time,it does drag a bit in the begining and...I dont know what else you couldve heard about the movie. A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of Linda and Chad, two employees of Hardbodies. Linda is desparate to get some cosmetic surgerey done and Chad is her witless friend. She convinces him to Black Mail the owner of the disk Ozburne Cox (John Malkovich)for money. Cox is pissed after loosing his job and hes prepared to take it out on them. Mean while his wife is cheating on him and preparing to divorce him, the CIA are trying to sort the mess out, Russians get involved, and you find more reasons to hate online dating. Its a simple plot that gets complitcated with interwining characters, some small twists you may not see coming; like a special machine the womanizer Harry Pfarrer (Clooney) makes in his basement, and more violence and F bombs then expected. I couldve waited to rent this one, but its original and fun with friends. And lastly Ive decided JK Simmons needs to do more comedies. Hes great in this movie.
