"What tragedy and horror that occurred on September 11, 2001, we must remember, remember of the fallen and of the brave ones."
I saw this movie on HBO the other day. At first, when it came out, many people did not want to see it because it would bring back memories of the horror and tragedy of 9/11. I thought the movie would be interesting, but at first i thought hollywood should have waited more years to make a movie based on this event, like how they did with "Pearl Harbor". Still, i wanted to see it, judge it, and learn from it.
As many know, this movie is about the plane United 93, one of the four hijacked airplanes on September 11, 2001 that did not reach it's target. Terrorist took over the cockpit and flew the plane all the way to Washington DC., Virginia and try to destroy the White House. As the passengers, frightened and terrified of what was happening, called their loved ones and informed them of what was going on. Many prayed and many cried, trembling in fear, but overcame their own fear into trying to take back the airplane and stop the terrorist.
Unfortunately, they did not succeed in taking control of the plane, but did provoke the plane to go out of control and crash land, stopping the terrorist from reaching their target. No one survived the plane crash, but we remember their bravery and respect them with dignity and pride. May they all rest in piece.
The movie was extremely well done. There was no famous director, or famous actors, but the actors did do an incredible job making the movie seem so real and vivid, basically guiding you of what did happen that dreadful day. The movie was very strong and gave the audience the view of what happened in the flight of United 93, how flight controls tried to identify if more aircrafts were hijacked, how the whole country was impacted deeply by this disaster, what mostly happened during the end of the flight of United 93.
I must say that the end was very touching and extremely sad, and the movie could jog your memory right back almost seven years ago when this event happened. The movie did not make much money, but nobody really cared and i certainly did not. I cared about what the movie brought to us, to tell us the story of 9/11, to show everyone what happened and what we should learn from this film.
I believe we should always remember 9/11, never forget what happened that one particular day, fight for something that you strongly believe in, never give up, and always carry pride inside you.
JV's overall score: 5.0 stars (10/10).

As for this flick, I only saw the last fifteen minutes and the first 10 or so. And the movie wasn't that long by my recollection of it, so there wasn't much else I expected to see from it other than the TV films already made about it. POWERFUL & GRIPPING! Probably was a good movie through the whole thing. I may see it again sometime, but only if it's on TV.
