BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA (2007)

The special effects leaves something to be desired. With a name like "Bridge to Terabithia", I expected more monsters and magical things and not so much some kid explaining his imagination to me. That makes for a dry kind of fantasy movie. This motive works as you don't suspect the forboding tragedy that's creeping up on you at the end. This then becomes a film about relationships and loss, and does that effectively.
