"Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?"

I had heard of the book but had not read it. The movie looked interesting so I thought I'd give it a shot. The character of Patrick Bateman is so over the top and crazy, but you can't help but like him. The long discussions of music and his everyday boredom with life made him great to watch. Christian Bale did an amazing job in this film, you can't see anyone else as that character. I read the book later and there was so much left out, it just couldn't be filmed. See the movie and read the book, both are excellent.

I also really enjoy this film , i just wanted to point out , that the straight to dvd sequel wasnt that bad compare to other straight to dvd sequel , It has Mila kunis has our serial killer so this should turn on a couple of viewers , like i said not a bad flick interesting story , nothing like the first American psycho but really not that bad

I too love this movie, and this along with Equilibrium, was when I became a fan of Christian Bale, and what's in the book that they left out, dose it further explain that it was all in his head or dose it depict the real world and his head, or dose it play like the movie,

and the sequel sucks, makes no sense, and doesn't correlate to the original, it should have never been made, a very cheap attempt, like some sequels are and do, off of orginal greatness.

I agree with you guys!
this movie is so great! it's weird because some people loved it or hate it! they don't all understand the second level of humor in this movie!
Christian Bale is so amazing in this role...
this is definitely one of his greatest performances.
