The movie was funny and creative. I havent seen this many cameo appearances in one movie in a long long time. from Frankie Muniz as Buddy Holly, Paul Rudd as John Lennon. when you watch it you will see practically every actor from anchorman, knocked up, 40 year old virgin, and ricky bobby. they are all over in this one
BUT
I decided to give it about a 2.5 for several reasons. the films humor comes from all the cameos and not the lame one-liners they drop constantly. by the end of the movie if youre not ripping your hair out from hearing "the wrong son died" then i solute you. as for me? i think they tried way too hard. i laughed at the stupididty of it all, and not so much the points where they were trying to be humorous. there were some ok parts and the acting was ok. but the directing was the worst i have ever seen. to think the director saw what i saw, and said "this is exactly how the movie should be". it makes me mad that it got away with such lame laughs. i was disappointed for the most part but you gotta see it for yourself to understand
