"I'm Never Fed Up With Zombies"
|
Zombie horror movies is a rare genre that never fail to highly entertain me. Always indulged in their grotesque, picturesque portrayals of humankind's self-destruction of the undead, this remake of Dawn of the Dead are definitely one of the flagship movies.
STORY: One day earth is driven into madness by an all-of-a-sudden overtaking of zombies. Thats it. Not that this scrutinizes my love for the depravity of scattered & splattered killings, but zombie movies tend to take this out-of-the-blue route and leave gaps to questions as to why its happening in the first place. I'm not saying that the movie sacrifices good storytelling for the obscene, but a little insight would definitely give it a boost.
ACTING: The acting was pulled off quite well, but not spot on. I can't put my finger on it. But I'm not complaining.
DIRECTING: There were times where I felt unsure of myself and the movie, but my faith was contained and trusted it thoroughly. The director not only made the zombies shit-your-pants scary, but he also made zombie killing a lot of fun! Kudos on the directing!
VISUALS: The visuals were very rich in context and very distinguished. You'd cringe if you saw how well done the visuals were.
Nothin' else to say. Just a great zombie movie.
