"The best gangster movie since Goodfellas"

Denzel Washington, Russel Crowe and Ridley Scott carve an epic which is a must see! American Gangster is based on the true story of Frank Lucas, a drug lord based in Harlem during the 60s and 70s and the cop, Richie Richardson who will not stop untill he catches him.

Both are flawed human characters who want to prove to themselves that they are not just losers drifting the world. I think the only thing that let's this movie down is Scotts obsession with trying to make it an Oscar winner.
