I saw it on some website, I think wikipedia.com, (I know some of its erroneous) or some Friday the 13th site, but you are right about the who Evil Dead, and Halloween.

Dille, just because the movie ends on a cliffhanger does not necessarily solidify a sequel. If the studio isn't feeling it, doesn't feel there is money to be made, director Ronny Yu won't return, etc., they won't invest in it. Therefore, the producers/director would have to finance it themselves or look for an independent/Sundance studio and that likely won't happen.

It is all up in the air right now. Nothing is official.

Well they were going to do a sequel, until they got tied up trying to bring Bruce Campbell's Ash from "Evil Dead" movies into the story. Fortunately, Sam Raimi said no to that. Then they wanted to bring in Michael Myers from "Halloween." Then it became put on hold due to the writers' strike and the remake of Friday the 13th, so since then nothing has been said about it coming out. As of now, it is not known if it is still going to be made.

There doing a Freddy vs. Jason II, which I think is called Jason vs. Freddy, because of the hype that the future Nightmare on Elm Street, and some of the new Friday the 13th's hype, they were suppose to make one 2 or 3 years ago, but something stop productions, I forgot, but I think it was due to the production house being bitches, and not having faith in the dual franchise crossovers success.

well of course they are going to make a 2 one because they are both still alive because at the end when jason is carrying freddys head he winks at the audience!

One of my favorite horror movies. Suprised that I don't own it yet, I have looked for it recently but movie rental stores say they only carry it New during Halloween.

As far as them being immortal, the secret of Jason is revealed in "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday," and Freddy is only immortal in the dream world... or so we thought, until the very last scene in this movie. That scene also leaves the entire Jason storyline open, as Freddy has brought Jason back from Hell, beginning in the last scene to "Jason Goes to Hell," and ending in this movie, where Krueger uses him as his pawn until Jason starts killing out of control...duh, Freddy. So it seems Jason has won with the home field advantage of being at Crystal Lake, that is, until Freddy is revealed to still be alive after becoming decapitated.

"Welcome to my world, bitch!" They better do a Freddy vs. Jason II, to tie off the story, and it better not have another character like Michael Myers, just do it Krueger & Voorhees.
