"Pretty average, but not the worst movie ever."
So, every once in a while, I rent a crude comedy to sit, and be sickened by. But this time, the movie wasn't very crude. It had it's semi-crude moments. But overall, it was just sex talk, not other gay stuff. While it was exactly what I thought it'd be the movie wasn't horrible. I mean, it wasn't that great, and I'll never go out of my way to watch it again, but it's a average comedy. Not above, or below, just in the middle.
The story is a rip-off of other flicks that are similar to it. So this guy makes himself look like an ass to this girl he was e-mailing with in another country, so he goes all the way there to see her. I don't know what he plans on saying to her, but let me tell you the funniest part of the movie is when he meets her at the end. They say hi, and make out, hook up, but he never once says he's sorry... What an asshole. But yea, I just thought that was hilarious. And I guess she either forgot, or forgives him without him having to say a thing. But whatever. And by the way, as for plot goes, they have a bunch of misadventures along the way. It's been done before, but it's entertaining, with an occasional laugh here and there. Overall, kinda dumb humor though.
The acting kinda sucked. It's a comedy, that hires mostly unknown teens that can't get anything else, but comedy crap. I get that, so I'll just leave this section at that.
Jeff Schaffer is the director. Ok, he's a easy homo, but I'll go into this in a second. First, I'd like to add he directed Cat in the Hat. This is very different for him, doing something that's not for kids. But as for the fact that he's gay... Well, they go to a nude beach, only to find no women. Just a bunch of fat, gross naked guys. What a fag. Then they show the other nude beach, and there's just topless girls. What the hell is that? Wieners, but no bush???? I've really had it with the shit Hollywood is pulling. At least the girls are pretty. And the one he e-mails with is hot, and we see her boobies!!!!
The visuals are actually very good. There is some pretty scenery of Paris, and other parts of Europe. Then the girls are very pretty, too. I'd recommend the unrated version, because I think I heard of a good boobie part that wasn't in the theatrical release. It's pretty sweet, and it's during Matt Damon's song... YES! Matt Damon has a very small role!
Overall, the movie was ok. Something you get when you have the chance, but not to go out of your way to get ahold of.
