"See it twice in the theater!!!"

One of my favorite movie genres is the musical. So I'm a little biased but I think that Tim Burton did something great with this one. Once again Johnny Depp and Helena Botham Carter help him to pull it off.

He took a good story and really made it come alive in a dark way. He kind of makes it fun to be dark.

Johnny Depp did an excellent job singing even though he had never done it before. However I thought that he brought a lot of Pirates of the Caribbean voice into it. But he was a really good choice for this part. And Helena Botham Carter brought grace and comedy to her part as Mrs. Lovett. Altogether a great cast with great musical abilities.

The special effects were really fun. They brought some of the Tim Burton style into the film. They made it dark but not realistic. The costumes brings the viewer to this time period of darkness and sickness in London.

A great musical with a great cast, great special effects and costumes really bring this film to the see it twice in the theater point.
