"OH HILARIOUS! HILARIOUS!!!"

"Tropic Thunder" is without a doubt the comedy film of the year. It's histerical even for a guy like me who is not big fan of comedys. Every character has there own personal problems which just adds to the humor. All the racial jokes keep on coming and never get old. "Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr." have never been funnier then they are in this film. The opening to the film is rather interesting. Opening with faux advertisments made for the film, it makes you feel like you are still waiting for the actual film to begin. It's one of those films where it is so dumb it's funny because there is actually more than one scene where there is something going on that is completley and utterly pointless only it makes you laugh your head off. Everyone needs that sometimes. Also as the movie goes on, it gets more and more wild as if it was a war themed road trip film.

SPOILER ALERT!! There were some things I wasn't expecting. Like over-the-top violence, and a lot more swearing than a normal comedy should have. I mean I know i was rated "R" but it still seemed a little too extreme. Still doesn't bother me though.

All in all. A must see for all fans of comedy. Best comedy of the year. A little racial and extreme, but still awesome. 4.5 of 5 stars.
