EAGLE EYE (2008)

"Itll make you hate technology but has an amazing car chase scene."

Eagle Eye is obviously an action drenched suspense thrill ride but at its core, to my surprise I found a story about a sibling to sibling relationship (brother to brother in this case). Which was nice because I'm moving soon and this is the last movie I'll get to see with my sister for a while. So I think by now we all know the plot, Jerry Shaw (Shia) randomly finds $751,000 in his account which is $750,00 more than he expected, and essentially a 'how to become a terrorist kit' at his apartment (weapons, bombs, books on planes, etc). And a woman calls him and tells him he's been activated, and that the FBI will be at his house in 30 seconds (more or less).

Mean while across the country this all seeing woman who refers to her self as "we" is apparently all knowing is 'activating' people and forcing them to do certain jobs, moving them around like pawns. She can control any form of technology and can watch your every move, and if you disobey she threatens loved ones or just kills you.

Jerry gets paired up with a single mom named Rachel (Michelle Monaghan). Their true mission isn't clear for a while but the mysterious woman has their journey planned out perfectly.

Jerry had recently lost his twin brother who he'd been out of contact with for 3 years. His brother was a highly decorated Air Force officer. Through out the movie Rachel and jerry try to get to know each other to see if they can figure out why they've been activated and she thinks Jerry's brother may have been a terrorist. Who knows?! This movies about trusting your instincts.

Eagle Eye has a great action, the acting's good, I understand why people say the supporting actors get under used, but Thornton is great, I love seeing him belittling people. The movie keeps you entertained and even when you know what's going on, and you can predict what's going to happen it still makes you wonder what could go wrong. This movie gives you another reason to hate technology but it's a lot of fun and I recommend you see it in theaters.
