"Worth a watch because Eastwood is great but story lags."
Definitely a mixed bag but far more hits then misses with this particular Clint Eastwood vehicle (pun intended). Clint himself is wonderful as an aging and surly veteran suffering through the pains of loss and of old age. Funny racial one-liners permeate the movie and often leave you chuckling. The rest of the cast is surprisingly weak to the point of distraction at times. As with most of Clint's recent work, what appears to be borderline depression that comes with aging creeps in to the film big-time. While often sad and depressing, the film makes you think and ponder about some very large issues. Worth a watch but, for me, not the all time classic I was hoping for and certainly not a film I can say that I'd ever want to watch again.
