"Eagle Eye" was a action/adventure, suspense, thriller that ended 2008's summer and began our fall. It was in the movie theatres for about two months and hit dvd two or three days after Christmas. I however did not see this new Shia Labeof flick in theatres, but i did witness it on DVD. I had extra money in my pocket so i decided to give Eagle Eye a buy. I went home and watched it. Did i like it? HELL YA! Eagle Eye is definatly one of my top five favorites of 2008. It was a strong suspense and it had a lot of action. It was also very VERY thrilling and exciting to watch. Which is why Eagle Eye is a fat five! lol. Eagle Eye is like a touch of "Enemy of the State", which starred Will Smith, mixed with "Paycheck", which starred Ben Affleck, mixed with "The Island", which starred Ewan McGreggor. I think thats how you spell his last name. lol. Eagle is a definate five star movie. There isnt anything to complain about in this movie. This is one them movies that you have to love and that you'll remember for the rest of your life. Lets just say that i think that Eagle Eye will be one of my favorite thriller/suspenses until the day i die. I always love watching that perfect movie. And Eagle Eye is one of em'! I'm goanna say this to all of you. If you haven't seen Eagle Eye, then do so, because it is one heck of a ride! Its fun to watch. You'll like this movie. I promise it.
PLOT: [Little SPOILERS]
The plot of Eagle Eye is smart. Eagle Eye is one of thee smartest and most epic movies i've seen in a while. Eagle Eye has a strong smart story that you won't understand until the end of the movie. Here's the plot: Shia Labeof plays Jerry Shaw, a young man who works at a electronic store. He can barley afford rent. He even gave up a Stanford eduaction. Jerry's Twin Brother, Ethan Shaw dies, and Jerry can't belive it. After his brothers funeral, Jerry goes home and his apartment is filled all over with weapons that aren't his. He receives a mysterious phone call from a women [computer] telling him to leave the apartment before the cops arrive. Jerry does get arrested and is interogated by Billy Bob Thorton. Sorry, i can't remember the name of the character Billy played. lol. Jerry gets his phone call and is activated to the women. She helps him escape, and once that, Jerry is on a mission to find out what's going on and why is he actived. He also must find answers to why he and his late brother are connected to the women's voice. Jerry also receives help from another activated person named Rachel Holloman. She is told that if she doesnt obbey then her son will die. She must work with Jerry to find all the answers that they need. There is also performances by Micheal Chickles, from the Sheild and Rosario Dawnson, who was in one season of the hit comedy "Friends", which starred Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry. Thats a funny show! lol. As you can see, the Eagle Eye plot is fun to watch and you must pay attention to get the gist. The movie is filled with twists and turns and its FILLED with great action.
ACTING:
The acting in Eagle Eye is great! The cast of the movie is perfect and each actor and actress fit the role completly. You've got Shia Labeof, who is one of my favorite young actors. He's in movies such as "Holes", "Disturbia", "Transformers","Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystall Skull" and he's soon to be in a blockbuster sequal called "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". He fit the role of Jerry Shaw completly. Shia did it agian in this great suspense/thriller. Michelle Monoghm played Rachel Holloman and she did an amazing job as well! She is in such movies as "Mission Impossible 3" and she was Patrick Dempsy's crush in "Made of Honer". She fit her role completly as well. Billy Bob Thorton plays a Agent and i can't remember his name. He did a great job as the bad cop and he deserves five stars. Billy is a comedy guy in such movies as "Bad Santa", "Bad News Bears", "School for Scoundrels" and others movies. He's rumored to be the new Freddy Kruger in the remake of "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Micheal Chicklis plays the Defense Secretry and he does an amazing job, as usual in his roles. He was in the hit series "The Sheild" and he was the thing in both "Fantastic Four" and "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer". All and all, all the actors and actresses did an amazing job in this movie.
The visuals in this movie are top-notch! This movie includes some great visual effects and its definatly a great movie for action effects! The directing in this movie is great as we'll. I liked all the scenerio and how the movie looked and how it was made. This movie is amazing! If you havent seen Eagle Eye, then do so. Its got great acting, a great plot, awesome visuals, and good directing. Overall, Eagle Eye is a strong A+. See this movie, now!
