"We can be slaves or we can be....LYCANS!!!!"
Okay,when Underworld was first released
in 2003,it became an awesome movie. It's
stylish action scenes and intense story
were good, but critics founded gimmick and boring. For me,i dont care and now,2
years later we're getting Underworld:Rise of the Lycans,is it better than the second?.
The story takes place 1,000 years
before the events of the first film as the Lycans were slaves by the Vampires
{Death Dealers}.One is Sonja,a young
warrior who was born in privilge by
his father Viktor and Lucian is a Lycan
who was born into slavery and as a guard to protect him. Then he fell in love with Sonja and her father already
found out about that and thinks he betrayed him.
Lucian was sick of the Death Dealers and decides to convince the other Lycans to join him for battle.Lucian and Sonja join forces to fight the Vampires and free the Lycans once and for all.The story is awesome and i truly understand more to the plot and
the dialouge has bits of lame liners,
but it doesnt ruin much.
The acting is good,Rhona Mitra was a perfect choice for the character Sonja.
Did I mention she looks hot in the movie?anyway,i like the acting of Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy as well, but they should reprise a bit more
on the film's script, but its fine.
But whats worthy are the awesome action moments, although theres no guns,
but hell even without them, the moments are more epic than the previous films
and the werewolves look more real than
ive ever seen. The visuals are great,i like how the dark colors flow with the
movie.
The film was produced by Len Wiseman, who directed the first two Underworld films and the whole job
was truly made by first time director Patrick Tatopoulos, who's responsoble for the FX effects of the Underworld
franchise.
Underworld:Rise of the Lycans is the film ive been waiting for for years
and boy,it will leave a strong start for movies this year,if your a fan of vampires and werewolves like me,see this film right away!
