SAW IV (2007)

See Your Review

Firstly let me say I am a fan of the saw franchise as I was the Scream franchise which ended before it went beyond desperate. However I fear money talks for this franchise so expect Jigsaw's long lost grandson who appeared for half a second in the first film and is now executing the traps jigsaw would have prepared for him before he died to appear in Saw 9. Don't get me wrong i'm not expecting Oscars and in fact this is probably as good a number 4 horror film as you're likely to see but if you are now tapped in to the mythology of Saw as I am then you can't help but feel bemused that although Jigsaw teaches bad people to cherish their life by #4 he's punishing poor old Officer Rigg for neglecting his missus by helping people as a cop WHAT??!! The death of Jigsaw and Amanda in #3 neatly wrapped up a fun and clever series so you cant help feel deflated by the unimaginativly piss poor twist ending in #4.

If all you're after is gore junk food for the brain then this is as good a #4 as you'll see however if you care for the series you'll feel very cheated.

I wanna play something new.
