"I'm gonna cut your goddamn head off.See if that works."
I can already hear the die hard X-men comic fans out there and if you are in that category this movie will leave you disappointed. But if you are like me and you just like to be entertained you will love this movie.Hugh Jackman reprises the role that made him a superstar, as the fierce fighting machine who possesses amazing healing powers, adamantium claws, and a primal fury known as berserker rage. X-MEN Origins: Wolverine stays true to the tone of the X-Men motion picture franchise, continuing the films' balance between spectacle and reality, while heightening the emotions and relationships. The prologue for X-Men Origins:Wolverine show us that not only did Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and his brother (Live Schreiber) serve on the battlefields of the Civil War and the trenches of World War I.But also World War II and Vietnam.
The battles set the tone for "Wolverine" and the back story of one of the "X-Men" favorite heroes, complete with all the fighting, trickery and weapons imaginable.Jackman's Logan and Schreiber's Victor Creed, who possesses a savage disposition and catlike claws, make the most of their seeming immortality and ability to heal. After battling through a century of warfare, they join a military strike team of fellow mutants led by William Stryker (Danny Huston), who eventually hatches a plan to create an ultimate weapon with the powers of every mutant he can round up.There are a string of episodes where Logan fights Victor, Logan fights eventual ally Gambit (Taylor Kitsch), Logan fights Victor some more, Logan fights Deadpool (the super-mutant created from a mouthy swordsman played in an early scene by Ryan Reynolds). As part of Stryker's mutant experiments, Logan chooses the nickname Wolverine and undergoes a nasty procedure to graft indestructible metal on his skeleton, including his claws.Jackman and Schreiber have a superficial rapport as brothers at odds. The film also introduces a team of mutants, including several whose appearances in the movie series have been long anticipated. Movie audiences will meet Team X, a covert military cadre comprised entirely of mutants. Its members are: Wolverine; his brother Victor Creed, aka Sabretooth, a feral being of unimaginable power; Wade Wilson, later to be known as Deadpool, a high-tech mercenary skilled at swordplay; Agent Zero, an expert tracker and lethal marksman; Wraith, a teleporter; Fred J. Dukes, also known as The Blob, a morbidly obese and super-strong behemoth; and Bradley, who can manipulate electricity. Leading them is William Stryker, a figure introduced in "X2" but whose origins and motives are now fully explored, for it is Stryker's complex relationship with Wolverine that defines much of Logan's past ...and future. Also explored is Logan's tragic romance with Kayla Silverfox. Kayla's fate triggers Logan's involvement with the ominous Weapon X program, a top secret, billion-dollar military experiment, in which Wolverine and other mutants are key players. They include Gambit, a young Scott Summers (later to be known as Cyclops); a beautiful young mutant named Emma Frost; and the aforementioned Deadpool, against whom Wolverine faces his ultimate challenge. This movie is a journey for Logan, and that journey grabs us. But the journey is one long run gauntlet, with people pounding on him from all sides until he emerges at the other end as the loner bound for membership in the "X-Men" .
The film is well-made. Gavin Hood, the director did a good job showing us the character's beginnings, as a youth in Canada in 1845. To he's recruitment for a team of special operatives with superhuman mutant talents overseen by William Stryker. However the movie feels a little rushed at times, but it certainly performs better than expected by being brutally entertaining.
The movie was directed by :Gavin Hood.
The cast include:Hugh Jackman,Live Schreiber,Danny Huston,Ryan Rynolds,Taylor Kitsch,Will.I.Am and Lynn Collins

Oh, and this movie sucked, comic fan or not. All the characters die...literally. The pacing was bad and the effects were clearly CGI.
Comment I left on CBF's Review for Wolverine:
Nice, I agree with you the sabertooth put those part don't click, and Liev is a better sabertooth,I agree with the visuals they were very bad, I'm still not with the early bone claws, but it worked,I'm also not with weapon XI being deadpool, (and not Daken but is works too) I read about the secret endings, I missed the ending ending, where the movie, cast, direction was great, I also wanted longer claws at least 18-24 inch ones, not what seemd to be a foot, this one is the best I dont like the first three, to much inaccuracies for me, while I'm on that what hell was that part with prof. x, he couldnt walk then, he should have been in his chair, I don't think that was the orginal ending
needed more gambit, deadpool, blood can't wait for part two
I gave it a 4
