"Ben Stiller is possibly the best comedian ever!"
I am a fan of Ben Stiller's work. He is one of the few comedians that I actually like, and he isn't too terribly crude. And when he is, it doesn't bother me as much as if someone else did or said something crude. I have never known why, but but I have known this ever since 2 of Ben Stiller's other films- Duplex, and DodgeBall. Anyhow I got this for 2 reasons. The main reason was Milla Jovovich. Unfortunately, she looks kinda bad. I think she was suppose to, but it would have been nice if she looked her normal hot self. The other reason was Ben Stiller.
The story is actually very funny... not only that, but original. Supposedly, the fashion industry hypnotizes male models to assassinate people!! So they get Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller), who doesn't know "who he is" and thinks there's more to life than just "being extremely good looking." It is a highly entertaining, and very original storyline, that may go astray from itself at times, but always quickly collects itself back together.
The acting is... not easy to do. I mean Ben Stiller is one of the few people who can do those facial expressions, and just act the way he does in the film. But not just Ben Stiller is brilliant. I didn't know the film had a star-studded cast. There is Owen Wilson, who I normally don't care for, but actually liked in this movie, Will Ferrell, who I normally despise, but again, actually liked in this movie, Milla Jovovich, who like I mentioned doesn't look so hot. However she was pretty good in her role. The film has numerous cameos such as Vince Vaughn, Natale Portman, Paris Hilton (Thank God it's only a cameo), Winona Ryder, David Bowie, and that is just a few!
The director is Ben Stiller. He is such a talented man. He not only directed, and starred in, but also did the story, wrote the script, AND produced the film. Just as he did with Tropic Thunder. He is an awesome director, and I really like his comedic genius!
The visuals are surprisingly cool. I mean all the male model's outfits and makeup are just hilarious.
Overall, one of the few comedy movies I actually like! Not too bad on the crudeness, and extremely entertaining... all thanks to Ben Stiller!
