"Take that Washington D.C!"
I cant say I never wanted to see this but, Burn After Reading is another sucsessful masterpiece from two clever master mind Ethan and Joel Cohen. The Cohen brothers, they have made ever so much movies and their career is flying off. They directed, wrote, and produced this funny comedy. It's teaches us a valuable lesson: Don't but your head in other peoples buisness... you might just die. The title will make sense after seeing the movie Burn After Reading well lots of strange events happen that you probably wouldn't expect. A well known dark comedy for its urge to say fuck and others if I may say, one thing it's rated "R" for is for pervuasive language which will have lots of people saying Fuck. It's sensation is speachless I'll say and it's well one of my favorite movies for it's extreme stupid-ness and its rousing comedy and righteous directing. It was nominated for Two Golden Globe Awards one for Best Picture (Comedy/Musical catagory) no it's not a musical. It all takes place in our nations capital, Washinton D.C. where there are angry politics and some idiotic people live also home to some stupid angency people. So maybe thats the reason why they put the setting in D.C. or because America wants to see shit happen down there. Who knows. Directors/producers/writers Joel and Ethan has made something somewhat similar to and earlier movie, "Fargo" (based on a tue story) so far Burn after Reading, "No Country for Old Men" and "Fargo" has to do something with money, Josh Brolin found like 50g's and a guy was hunting him down for them in "No Country For Old Men" and in "Fargo" Steve Buscemi and his partner kidnapped William H. Macy's wife because he didn't give them 80g's in "Fargo" and in Burn After Reading Brad Pitt and Francis McDorman are demanding money from John Malkovich because they THINK they have important information from him and they are going to give it back for some money! Either Money realted movies they're good at or money related movies are the only things that they can come up with! Still, even if it were both they have made many favorites of mine.
The movie stars George Clooney as Harry Pfrrer a married man whose been cheating on his wife. Francis McDorman as a lonely and who thinks shes fat lady working in a gym. Tilda Swinton married to John Malkovich who got fired from his job and is depressed, back to Swinton, she plays a married woman sleeping with Clooney, and wants to divorce Malkovich. And Brad Pitt and excerise machine with complete stupidity when it comes to negotiating and well almost everything else it seems like in the movie. A strong great cast, Clooney who has been in the Cohen brothers movies for a while and he's worked with Tilda Swinton in "Michael Clayton" which is extremly confusing and dramatic. Brad Pitt who worked with Swinton also, in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" which came out last december and was superb. Well like I said before, a great cast lead by Clooney a wonderful and incredible actor and Francis McDorman the leading lady who is just fabulous is on the screen and who starred in "Fargo." Malkovich and Pitt as the supports and Tilda swinton as a supporting actress they did a fantastic job on the movie. Incredible actors and incredible actresses with incredible directors.
Joel and Ethan Cohen are two well talented movie makers and have made great masterpieces I've said three so theres also "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" "The Big Lebowski" "The Hudsucker Proxy" and more. They both directed this laugh riot and they have done a awesome job. Joel being the older brother of the two and directed a couple more than Ethan has. They made they honorable horror movie, "Blood Simple" and others, they've made movies since the late 80's till the present day and they are two very very sucessful people in the movie buisness. Their movies have been nominated many many times and has made millions and millions of dollars at the box office. Golden Globes, Oscars and more these two have one and hopefully they will win many more in their long future.
Money and money is what this movie is partcially about, and a unuseful CD and a cheater is what this movie is about fully and well thats the story and to put it in a full sentence it's all about these dumb gym worker thing they found some secrets that they can make money out of and one of them is dating a married man who cheats on his wife and the people he sleeps with a fired CIA agent who wants what he thinks the gym workers has is his memoirs when they are all being followed and watched by the CIA because of thier actions. Nothing in the movie was what I thought, it was more clever with ups and down, twists and turns. Unexpected things were done and were necessary with the best of comedy mixed with a crime that gives you Burn After Reading and what is happening! Story once again was practically the most interesting part because well It's the most unpredictable movie I think I've seen well maybe "The Departed" but this too was unpredictable and in the good and mysterious way. Good stroy, funny dark comedy, a great mystery. Well another way to say this is if you think you know whats going to happen next well another thing happens that is unexpected.
CGI barley used but when it was it well wasn't all that fancy pancy shit. Remember the scene in "No Country For Old Men" where Brolin was hunting deer and he shot one and the blood came out of it well it looks like that and it also looks like that with the people depending what happens to them. Usually the people who are going to die or are dying look like CGI was in the works. Not too much violence in the movie so not too much to say but that the visuals were great. Thw whole movie was great and A must see dark comedy that will leave you speachless, I think how it ended though was dissapointing like the very last scene right before the ending credits but it was prettyu funny like the movie. Joel and Ethan Cohen has done it again. Cast was full of laughs. Story was mezmerising. The visuals were all out good. For the movie it was a total laugh riot that must be seen.
