""The Bourne Identity" is the first of three and whenever four, it raves to be a best selling novel and an exthrillerating movie and DVD."
The Good:
The Features provide great "makings of" of course interviews and great other special features that fit right in as good as the movie.
The Bad:
Should've gotten it in blu-ray!
The Flick:
In the first explosive thrilling movie of the three Matt Damon potrays Jason Bourne found with two bullets in his back not knowing anything of what happened before he was shot, he finds out later on that he's an elite goverment agent that can definetly fight! There is no real enemy in the first other than people from his violent past trying to kill him, not knowing but having visions he killed a man somewhere in Europe and now is wanted in the States. He runs and hides and fights back, while some certain C.I.A. agents such as Concklin (Chris Cooper). They are trying to stop at nothing to find the ruthless Jason Bourne. One person stands out of the croud though in the movie, Ward Abott (Brian Cox) most things with Bourne can somewhat relate to him. He travels here and there to find out his real identity during the movie fighting and possibily killing those that get in his way. He is no bad guy he is just a person that has been used and dumped what they thought was dead is alive and looking for those who did this to him causing him the do his actions. Based on the best selling novel by Robert Ludlum.
The Bourne Identity shows us that real great action and cineamatography is out there, before it was trapped beast in a cage it got mad and when the "Bourne" trilodgy came out that beast was released and created action, cineamatography never seen before.
The Features:
The features has some great shit. They interviewed att Damon and Franka Potente and "Builds a Bridge" to the coming sequal, "The Bourne Supramacy" they talk the making of the movie (as they usually do in the features). Another, "Cloak and Dager: Covert Ops" a real CIA agent, Liaison Chase Brandon, who tells us about the real spy world and hows it like. They also have another orginal, some Deleted Scenes. "The Bourne Diagnosis" is another where we see a UCLA psychologist studies and shows about Jason Bourne's amnesia that is "his thing" of the movie. "The Bourne Mastermind" Where we take a look at the compelling author of the Bourne Trilodgy, Robert Ludlum. The last and my favorite, "Inside a fight Scene" where Matt Damon and his stunt choreographer shows the action thrilling scene in the U.S. Embassy! Great shit right there people!
The Look:
2:35:1, Aspect Ratio. The movie looked great other than the fact that it's pretty old so the quality isn't all that but it looked fine other than the low quality.
The Sound:
Great sound from the Dolby 5.1
The Packaging:
The packaging was fine, just old fashioned stuff, it's better than it's original case due to the fact that it's the Explosive Extended Edition that has a new Beginning and and end.
The Final Word:
This is definely a DVD to look for on the shelves of stores in the action genre section of the shelves.
