"Simply a Horror Classic."

Hostel is one of the best horror films I've ever seen. It feeds off many of societies phobias including America's ignorance of foreign land.

STORY: Five American tourists are bound to a Slovakian hotel that is infamous for they're beautiful women that are willing to do anything to please the attendees. In little time will they discover that the hotel is actually a trap where all the attendees are drugged and taken to a mansion full of torture chambers where rich people from across the globe come to torture and kill individuals for entertainment. A movie that places the very well-off white collar community as the monster is quite blunt, terrifying and original. This also plays a key roll in America's ignorance of our foreign neighbors.

ACTING: The acting was phenomenal as I was indulged in an alien world where you think you know the drill of the horrors that lurk in many places; just to be violently shaken and reminded that I'M the intruder.

DIRECTING: Eli Roth has an uncanny ability to not only have clear-cut visionary, but to deliver his work in a polished and blood-soaked fashion. Hostel are one of those signature projects. This movie really highlights the directorial brilliance of Roth in which objectivity is shared by everyone watching it.

VISUALS: Trust me, these men and women made sure to milk it all in for your eyes to see.

This is one of those films that make 3 points:

1) Horror is NOT dead.

2) This especially observes America's inability to recognize our ignorance of earth's fellow man and our unwillingness to learn of ethical, social, political, and foreign differences.

3) Its disturbing visually and philosophically.

Just watch it. This is an awesome, awesome movie.
