ZODIAC (2007)

"ZODIAC"

David Fincher I must say has had an interesting career. From the films I've seen ("Alien 3," "Se7en," "The Game," "Fight Club," "Panic Room") he really loves suspence and the majority of the time he can do no wrong. "Alien 3" was so bad it was good so I guess you can say its the best out the league of the worst and "Panic Room" wasn't one of his best achievements but it was still entertaining. Now he is going back to his "Se7en" days with murder cases and suspense. And if there is anybody for that job it is indeed Fincher. He directs like a champ and the writer who's name I can't ever remember, the writer of the sloppy "The Rundown" sure did step it up here with the adaptation of Robert Graysmith's book. The acting is fantastic with Robert Downey, Jr. the most dazzling of them all (no surprise) and one thing I must point out is the brilliant cinematography done by the cinematographer who shot "Elephant." I apologize for not remembering his name but man is he brilliant with his camera shots. I think he was at least screwed out of an Oscar nod. I couldn't of enjoyed this film more. You want excitement, terror, suspense,a film that can make you think and probably the most realistic stabbing you will ever see in a film... "Zodiac" is right up you're alley and Fincher always knows how to end a film with a great song with the Pixies "Where Is My Mind" on "Fight Club," and now Donovan's "The Hurdy Gurdy Man" on "Zodiac."
