"DBE is a waste of time, Dragon Ball fan or not."
When I heard news of a live action Dragon Ball movie was in works, I was exited. I've been waiting for this moment since I finished the Dragon Ball manga. Then pictures started flowing on the web; Goku looked too old, Bulma had very little blue hair and looked to old, Master Roshi had hair and was too young, and Piccilo, who looked white at the time. I didn't let the pictures change my mind (although the Piccilo one pissed me off), until the trailer.
Now, with a name change and terrible trailers, we have Dragon Ball: Evolution. I am not one to hate anything I like. I like the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy as much as I like the Star Wars Original Trilogy (and other film refrences); but this was horrible.
DBE is not DB. It feels as if it just took the name of things and placed them into a whole other movie. Even if this was never to be a DB movie, this would still be really bad. The acting is bad, the story is bad, but not good either, and the character were terrible. I don't know what they thought they were doing when they made this "Should we change the characters?" I don't know, it's just bad.
As much as I hate DBE, I still think it was awesome to watch. The visuals weren't too bad and the film is laughable at best.
If you're a Dragon Ball fan, I strongly recomend seeing this, so we can make Hollywood realize that we don't like garbage based on our lovable shows.
