"I'm slightly alarmed here!"

This is probably one of the best movies of our time. The graphics and scenes were incredibly advanced for their time.
The dinosaurs is where I think I will begin with this review. Incredible is really the only word I can think up to describe them. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably my favorite, it just looks awesome, it looks like they brought these Dinosaurs right out of the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretacious periods, though how I know that I am not sure, lol.
I also liked the velocoraptors, they were freaky always have been always will be, this was my favorite movie when I was four, and it still is one of my favorites. I think that the two dinosaurs that always scared me in this movie when I was younger were the Velocoraptors and The Dilophosaurus, I always had to "hide" when the dilophosaurus sprouted the fans and spit the poisoned ink. The Brachiosaurs were also really cool to see, and the same goes for the Triceratops, these are images that only Stephen Spielburg could come up with, and working with Michael Crichton, who wrote the book, it made the movie all the more believable.
It's one of the closest adaptations from a book, although there are still a few points where the movie and the book differed greatly, that I have ever seen, the other being probably Pet Sematary However if Michael Crichton wanted it to stray a bit from the book, then keep on trucking!
Now to review acting! Sam Neil and Laura Dern both are a couple of my favorite actors. Sam Neil play the paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant, perfectly, he was just what you'd think a paleontologist would act like if they actually met face to face with a dinosaur.
Laura Dern does wonderfully playing the paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler. She was beautiful and a tom boy, just as the book said she was. She was great at being scared, especially when the arm fell on her while she was getting the power back on, or when the Tyrannosaurus Rex was chasing her and Ian Malcolm while she was rescuing him from the scene.
Jeff Goldblum is probably one of the funniest actors I have ever seen in any movie. I loved him as Dr. Ian Malcolm, he really was a perfect choice for that part! He always had a smartass comment to make, and it usually ended up being funny, like "Uhh you do eventually plan to have dinosaurs on this, on this dinosaur tour, don't you" or "What do they got in there, King Kong?" I rolled when he said these things, and I pretty much rolled when he had anything to say.
All in all I'd have to say that if you haven't seen this movie yet, you don't really belong on this site. LOL just kidding, but seriously this is a must have DVD!!!!!
